AGES 5 to 11 Fine Art classes: All students, beginner through intermediate level, will be instructed in the development of Fine Art skills incorporating the foundations of drawing and painting through our individualized progressive curriculum that explores line, shape, form, and color in a structured, yet relaxed, and fun manner. Lessons are designed to expose students to age appropriate fine art concepts and skills while incorporating a variety of exciting materials that working artists use in their art.
AIAVAP pedagogy is to teach Fine Art lessons in a sequence that builds upon each prior lesson. The sequence of learning skills and concepts empowers students to communicate effectively through the foundations of Fine Art drawing and painting!
We are mindful that each student is an individual with different levels of understanding and art skills. This is why we individually critique students during every lesson. Each student will be taught and challenged at their own level of skill and understanding to continue their individual growth as young working artists.
